For Campers: Dining/Nutrition 
Campers often tell us how tasty the food is at Cradle Beach. Serving three meals a day to campers and staff is a big job. Close to 1,000 meals a day can be served during a typical summer camp day.
Our kitchen is staffed with experienced foodservice professionals. Any special dietary needs of our campers and staff are taken into account when they plan and prepare the days meals.
In addition, conditions often associated with feeding disorders include cerebral palsy, mental retardation, autism, head trauma, genetic disorders such as Down's Syndrome, behavioral disorders and food allergies are taken into consideration. During pre-camp training Cradle Beach staff members are given instruction in proper feeding techniques.
Cradle Beach strives to keep disabled child mainstreamed into the traditional camp experience by offering "meal-mate" assistance or by providing adaptive equipment. A child with a feeding disability is given what they need for inclusion into the main dining hall. A quiet place is available for campers that require less distraction while eating.
