Support Cradle Beach
Intro
Cradle Beach is a large scale, diverse organization and facility with many varied needs. Currently, our most pressing need is for financial support to ensure children have the opportunity to attend summer camp. Due to the increasing needs of our children, it currently costs approximately $1,000 for a child to attend a summer camp session.
Despite these rising costs, Cradle Beach remains committed to all children, no matter their condition or means. For the majority of our low-income children (68%), their average family income is only $14,000 per year. We appreciate any gift that ensures that these children can continue to experience the benefits of the summer camp experience.
There are many ways you can help Cradle Beach Camp! Nearly all offered donations and volunteers can help out in some way. Some organizations hold their own off site fundraisers or campaigns. Even individuals hold small events, such as garage sales or fund drives, with the proceeds from these efforts going to Cradle Beach. Volunteers should also contact Cradle Beach to arrange a time for a visit.
Without the support of community minded individuals, companies and organizations, many disabled and disadvantaged children served by Cradle Beach's mission would miss opportunities to be influenced by positive adult role models.
Unlike many other worthy charities, Cradle Beach receives very little government support--under 20% of our annual budget! We appreciate every dollar, every in-kind gift, and every volunteer hour offered to us. Everyone has their own unique way of supporting Cradle Beach; for all, we are eternally grateful.
Businesses may contribute large scale donations such as washers and dryers or other big items. A greenhouse may give the camp flowers and plants to the camp for the grounds. Newspapers, radio and television stations can provide much needed media exposure for the camp. Many local grocery, department and discount stores run donation programs, soliciting their customers for donations to the camp. These are then delivered or picked up by Cradle Beach volunteers or staff. If at all possible, we prefer that you mail or bring your donations to camp, but we can arrange for pick-up if necessary.
