Director of Advancement and Development

The Director of Advancement and Development plays a critical role in designing and implementing Cradle Beach’s fundraising and resource development efforts, communications, corporate relations and brand ambassadorship. They provide leadership, direct supervision and oversight of the Communications and Development Coordinator and skillfully provide strategic direction and boots on the ground tactical and logistical support to Cradle Beach’s special events, fundraising efforts and philanthropic initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, Master’s Preferred
  • 5+ years of successful nonprofit management and fund development experience across all strategies
  • Experience with children and/or individuals with special needs preferred
  • Availability to work occasional non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point and donor management software
  • Successful completion of all required human resource and background checks
  • Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation

Residential Summer Camp Counselor

Are you driven to make a difference? Would you like to create lifelong memories? Do you need the flexibility to experience summer, while serving the greater good of the community? We’re looking for kind, passionate, energetic Summer Camp Counselors to give our campers (ages 8-16, of all abilities) the best summer ever!
Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Have one year of college completed
  • Must be able to submit a Physical and Immunization forms prior to start date
  • Must be able to pass State and Federal Background checks.

Summer Camp Nurse – Both Per Diem And Full-Time Residential Needed

Responsible for medical care and medication distribution for children ages 8-16 during our Residential Summer Camp Program. Nurses are not required to work all five camp sessions. Amount of sessions worked will be determined during a meeting with Cradle Beach Camp Director.  
Requirements

  • Must be a Registered Nurse
  • Must have current CPR certification- training will be offered to those who do not have a CPR Certification
  • Must be able to pass State and Federal Background checks.

Lifeguards

Responsible for all lifeguard duties and some pool maintenance during our Residential Summer Camp Program. Lifeguards are not required to work all five camp sessions. Amount of sessions worked will be determined during a meeting with Cradle Beach Camp Director.  
Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Must have Lifeguard Certification- training will be offered to those who do not have a Lifeguard Certification.

Young Staff

Staff between the ages of 17-19 who provide support during our Residential Summer Camp Program. Responsibilities include assistance in the following areas: Laundry, kitchen, arts and crafts, play-stations, and more.
Requirements

  • Must be able to pass State and Federal Background checks.

Respite Staff

Responsible for supervision and care of individuals with disabilities attending our Respite Program during Fall and Spring weekend retreats. Staff does not have to work every Respite Weekend. Amount of Respite Weekends worked will be determined during a meeting with Cradle Beach Camp Director.

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Have one year of college completed
  • Must be able to pass State and Federal Background checks.

Facilities Assistant

works collaboratively with all team members to ensure efficient and effective operations and programming. The Facilities Assistant is responsible for the maintenance, organization, sanitation and overall care and safety of Cradle Beach’s beautiful 66-acre campus including:  buildings, grounds, vehicles and equipment. All Facilities Staff work a semi-flexible schedule given service demands.  Evening and weekend hours are required. Reports to Facilities Director.
